Proud new owner: Victor Muller takes delivery of a new Saab, just 24 hours after completing the purchase of Saab Automobile AB

Outside Saab Automobile´s factory in Trollhättan, Sweden, Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars was handed the keys to a top-of-the-line Saab 9-5 sedan by Saab Automobile CEO Jan Åke Jonsson.  It is part of an all-new 9-5 product range which will go on sale later this year.
“I am delighted to take delivery of this stunning new car ahead of our customer orders," said Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars NV, which yesterday completed the acquisition of Saab Automobile AB from General Motors. “The 9-5 will be the first of three exciting new Saab cars which we plan to launch in the next 16 months"

Muller´s car, powered by a 300 hp 2.8L V6, with all-wheel-drive, adaptive chassis control, a head-up information display, a lane departure warning camera and surround sound hi-fi, will spearhead  the most sophisticated  model range Saab has ever produced.

Now you've just got to sort it so that a search for SAAB on Google brings up SAAB

It's good to see Victor Muller drive the new 9-5. It marks the start of a new era. I am such a Saab lover that I own 2 Saabs (a 9-3 convertible and a 9-5 2.3 since 3 weeks). Since 1985 I have onwed Saabs.
I wish both Jan-Ake and Victor lots of success! Thanks for putting Saab back on the runway!

I worked for a Saab Dealership in Atlanta, GA for many years as a salesman and Finance Manager. Congratulations on your purchase. I wish you much success! In my experience, Saab was consistently ahead of it's time with innovations but always seemed to be afraid to let anyone know it. As a former marketing and advertising guy, that always drove me a bit crazy. I hope that under your leadership, that kind of thinking will change drastically. May your new venture take flight and soar!

Our 2008 9-3 is our 14th SAAB. We are so please it does not have to be our last new SAAB!
I strarted started with a new SAAB 1968 96 Sedan when I was a young Army Helicopter Pilot.
My wife's first new car was a SAAB 1969 96 Delux Sedan when she was a very young teacher.
We are both retired now and still finding new adventures in our SAAB.

It has been a pleasure to be a Saab owner through the last 22 years, and I will be looking forward to be a Saab owner for the next many years.
The fantastic 9-5 will probably be outside my financial frame (remember: We have to pay for three cars in Denmark each time we buy one) but I will be very excited to experience next generation (independent) 9-3 when it comes.

really? they gave the CEO of a performance car company a car with an automatic transmission? really? here's me hoping that the first thing he does is decree that the 2.8 engine be available with a manual transmission, because right now it appears that only the ghetto FWD engine will be available in a manual. am i the only one who finds this dumbfounding?

I'm very happy that Saab has not died. I'm a proud owner of a classic 900 Turbo Convertible since 1989 and a 9-3 I Coupe since 2004, and I want Saab to take off again, maybe with a new sports car like a Sonett.
My recomendation: Do not go into mainstream cars (wagons, diesels, sedans), revive the CC-hatchback, go into electric, convertibles, abandon SUVs.
